Role Reversal

I’ve been down for the count this entire week. I’ve never experienced such a nasty bug ever. Not ever. I don’t even have the energy to describe it to you. I’m in bed as I write this, and I’m hoping I’m on the upswing. It’s hard to tell.

The best part of this “cold” if you will (it’s not the flu. I did get tested.) is something my little guy did for me. On Wednesday I had to take a nap. I told Oliver that I was not feeling well...

“Did the doctor tell you that you had to take care of yourself?”

“Yes Oliver, he did. So I’m going to lay down and take a nap now. You get to watch a movie.”

And so he did.

When I awoke, I found two lovelies tucked into my arms.

My son had brought his two favorite animals into my bed and placed them under my arms. If this is any indication of what my senior life might be like, I’m sitting real pretty.

How did I get this lucky?

  3. Hi Andrea! Thank you for stopping by my blog today. First, I am sorry you're under the weather. I am praying for quick healing. This cold/flu thing going around is awful. I am so happy to hear you were able to save your home. That's fantastic! My husband is still unemployed and it's been a hard season we are walking through, but God has gone with us every step. I do hope you will visit again and that we can get caught up!
