Alive Woman Walking

Thank you friends.... I  managed to gain some of my self-respect and serenity back as the day moved on. I thank you for the wonderful support, the kind words. I knew I had a lot of visitors to my site daily, but I had no idea how many of you really seem to get me, to know me and are also walking in a path of faith. I am wowed.

Side note: I wanted to share that there has been an update with my nephew, James. I keep adding to this post. See here for today's latest.

So, back to you, anonymous (and named) readers.... I wanted to share a few things that really struck me — things I don't want to forget. While all of your kind supportive comments helped, here are a few that really softened my heart, opened my body to receive the peace that was waiting for me this day. I thank you for helping me. Read this below. I am truly blessed!

It is important to note the "sandwich bread" of this list. Note the very first sentence and then the very last sentence. I think that is the truest blessing of having this blog and all of you walking along with me, whether you are experiencing this same situation, or are just cheering me on. It's really incredible. I thank you!

  • Oh Andrea, I am honored to lift you up today.
  • Brush yourself off.
  • This battle is beginning and you, my dear, are up for it.
  • Before you is God, behind you are your friends and family. You are well-equipped and you are brave.
  • You'll survive the recovery (divorce). And you'll survive and survive and survive. And you'll blossom and blossom and blossom. Because that's who you are way deep down inside
  • God's got your back girl ;) He sees around corners... you will survive this and thrive!
  • Keep you eyes and your mind wide open to all GOD is doing in your life.
  • Stay strong for Oliver
  • Holding you in the Light.
  • joy and peace and laughter and love...it is all around you .... through that, you will thrive.
  • Sending you warm and loving thoughts.
  • your loving family, your precious son, your caring friends...draw strength from those to fuel you through the journey ahead...
  • God is walking with you. And when you get through, you will be stronger for it.
  • you are stepping away from him, and soon he will not be able to hurt you.
  • Keep walking.
  • always remember you never journey alone.
  • With all the things that Matt has taken from you, do not let your peace of mind and serenity be among them.
  • Hold tight to God and to your inner joy.
  • Be kind to yourself today.
  • You deserve to unwind and have some peace.
  • Keep moving forward Andrea.
  • YOU ARE STRONG ENOUGH FOR THIS JOURNEY; there are blessings along the way for you.
  • I'm thinking of you
  • feel the prayers and love surrounding you as you continue down this unpleasant road

Thank you again, dear readers and friends. :) I am looking forward to the rest of my day. I have special plans for the evening (I'm actually going to see a movie, can you believe it?) and I have a full weekend planned.

PS.... a special thanks to my dear friend Chris who was able to lift me up in person yesterday with her shoulders and her words. I love you girl! :)

Also, stay tuned. Last weekend I was at a silent retreat at a Jesuit retreat house in Barrington, Illinois, and I wrote all weekend. I have a lot of great things to share.

It is I who is honored .... I feel the prayers and love surrounding me.

Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;
