Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary
How does your garden grow?

With silver bells and cockle shells,

And pretty maids all in a row.

The Black-eyed Susans are about to bloom...

Mustard leaf is ready to be harvested and will continue to grow.

Butter leaf lettuce is growing faster than my weeds!

The lilies will bloom this weekend.

And this is my only tomato plant (out of 7) that has fruit already!
Everything's coming along nicely, thanks to my little helper.

And I'll leave you with this quote. I think it's from an old hymn. I could not find the source.
Increase our faith when fruitless seems. The toiling hours o'er vale and hill; Teach our discouraged hearts to feel. Thy kindly hand is leading still.

Your garden looks great! Thanks for leaving such a sweet comment on my blog. The carnival carrots have the same leaves as other carrot tops. If you look closely, you might be able to see them in the pictures. They are pretty long, about 18-24" carrot tops. And you should have little carrots in the ground, if you don't, they might not have grown this year. We're going to plant more in September. The taste should be sweeter.
