November Days of Gratitude
One of my most popular posts on this blog is Gratitude Nurtures the Soul. I got the inspiration for that blog title from Rabbi Harold Kushner in his quote:

I think it's a great way to adjust my attitude and take stock of what is good in my life, focusing on the positive instead of the painful. I try to do a dozen at a time. I hope you don't mind me sharing, and if you have something you're grateful for, please share it with me in the comment section below. Here goes.

Can you see the holiness in those things you take for granted—a paved road or a washing machine? If you concentrate on finding what is good in every situation, you will discover that your life will suddenly be filled with gratitude, a feeling that nurtures the soul.

Today I am grateful for:
- a great lunch: Asparagus Soup, yum!
- new jeans on sale that I fit into (you wont believe what size I am now!)
- our first parent-teacher conference with Oliver went well yesterday. Both Matt and I went. The only thing he needs to "work" on is finding something other than cars and trains to play with. Go figure.
- we have a happy child
- my work friends
- my blog, a creative outlet for me
- accomplishing a task last night that normally my husband would have done. (It took me 1 hour and 17 minutes, and yes, I timed myself.) :P
- my dad is doing well
- God, God, God
- gifts that come from taking chances
- my beautiful boy
- my beautiful home
