Milk update
Ok, my milk seems to be coming back. It's not like it used to be, but I can, for now, keep up. I started taking Fenugreek and Blessed Thistle last week. As well, I'm trying to be more on schedule with feeding (relatively speaking... it's not a strict schedule) and being certain to drink lots and lots of water.
In addition, any caregiver for Oliver and I must sync up our feeding and pumping times. In other words, for each bottle he takes, I need to pump. The nanny (or teacher) needs to not feed him more than once each morning, once each afternoon. As well, those feeding times must be spaced out so that when I come home to feed him at lunch or after work, he's hungry and gets a good serving of breast milk.
I'm a tad worried because I am leaving for the weekend without Oliver. This is going to be my first time away from him. I am not attached to him by the hip, but I have never spent more than a full 8-hours away from him. I'm leaving Friday at 10am and hopefully will be back by 3pm on Sunday.
I'm hoping there's enough frozen breast milk to last the weekend. I'm don't want him to have formula if at all possible!
I'll keep you posted as to whether or not I will survive. Oliver, I'm sure, will be just fine w/o me.
